Embark on an exciting journey to Samburu National Park! Known for its tranquil ambiance and fewer game vehicles, Samburu offers a unique safari experience away from the crowds, making it a top choice for travelers seeking a quieter wildlife adventure. Despite its remote location, Samburu remains a popular destination, second only to the renowned Masai Mara.
Venture into the heart of Samburu, where the local Samburu people reside in rural villages closely connected to the land for sustenance. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural tapestry of these villages, offering a captivating glimpse into their way of life—a delightful addition to your day-trip activities.
Notably, Samburu National Park holds historical significance as one of the two reserves where renowned researchers and conservationists, Joy and George Adamson, achieved fame through their heartwarming journey with lioness Elsa. Their remarkable tale, immortalized in the beloved book "Born Free," adds a touch of magic to the park's already enchanting landscape.
Early morning breakfast by 5.50am thereafter you will set out for a full day game drive in the reserve.
Samburu offers great wildlife viewing, and good densities mean that most safari animals can be seen within a couple of days. There are several habituated leopards, and sightings are not unusual. Elephants are plentiful, and there is a variety of antelope, including both the greater and lesser kudu, with their impressive horns. Only rhino is absent from the Big Five.
On this last day you will have a wakeup call at 0500 am for breakfast. There after leave for Lake Naivasha with a stopover in Nanyuki for lunch. Arrive in Naivasha in the evening where you will be dropped at your guest house to freshen up and go for an optional boat ride.

After breakfast, you we drive to Hells gate National Park. The next destination is a 4-hour outstanding journey from Lake Naivasha to the Masai Mara game reserve the new Seven Wonders of the World. Depending on your luck, you can observe the spectacular cross-border wildebeest’s migration event and an exclusive world heritage. Masai Mara is the most significant game sanctuary getting populated with wildlife enthusiasts and also millions of wildebeests during high season between July to March.
A full day to explore the historic Masai Mara National Reserve. A full day spent game viewing across the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds, plains, game, black manned lion, leopard and cheetah. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.
Main Destination:
You will enjoy the early morning game drive in search animals killing and eating – This is a life time experience for any tourist visiting the park. You will go back to the lodge, freshen up and take breakfast before leaving for Nairobi with picnic lunch. You will arrive in Nairobi and head to the train for Mombasa.
